Perm company innovative project wins major Russian competition

Perm company OOO”IT-invest” - part of the “IVS” group - has become one the winners at Small Business Support Fund’s tender “Gate2RuBIN”. The tender was designed for enterprises and companies working in the field of science and technology. “IT-invest” plans on opening a regional center, working with innovative projects and providing its participation in one of the largest European networks for small business support “Enterprise European Network” (EEN).

According to Perm Department of industrial policy, investment and business, “IVS” started its work on entering the project in September 2013. Two different tenders were announced by the Fund: for creating a regional center, working with innovative projects, and for creating sectorial allocation units in the regions. “We were in for creating a regional center, a part of the all-Russian technologies transfer network. We planned on curating several projects, connecting them to the European market. Being a part of this project allows us to create new infrastructure, essential for redefining our region in a system of innovative economics”, - said Innovations Manager of the “IVS” company Aleksandr Poleshyk.

The project is aimed to help small and medium business, working in a field of science and technologies, research companies and universities, using federal and regional investments. Financing under a grant of the Fund amounts 2 million rubles.

Official representative of the Small Business Support Fund Georgyi Poletaev noted: “Bringing this project to Prikamye region has been a goal of ours from 2008. The project allows us to bring to life innovative projects of research companies, as well as minor innovation enterprises, and lead it to the European market. It will contribute to the region’s development and shore up its position of a competitive economic area”.

At the origin, the company plans to conduct a number of presentations at the universities. Students, as well as academic staff, will be invited to join the project.

“The project allows small business integrate into European market more effectively.  It is a big step to developed technology entrepreneurship in Perm, - said Deputy Head of Perm City Administration Victor Ageev. – Winning this competition shows Perm’s high potential in the field. I’ll warrant that creating a regional center for innovative projects support will let the city save its growth rates in IT-sector, as well as in technology entrepreneurship”.

“Gate2RuBIN” (Russian Business Innovation Network) – is a new long-term project of introduction of Russian companies, working in the field of business innovations, to the major European business support network “Enterprise Europe Network”. It’s the first example of a Russian large-scale project in a European business and innovations network. The goal of the “Gate2RuBIN” project is to develop small and medium technologies-related business and research companies. The federal support is provided by Small Business Support Fund and the Department of economic development of the Russian Federation.
